Spending a great deal of time outdoors – leading remote expeditions in
spectacular wilderness areas – nurtured my love of photography.
Along with supplementing my income, photography helped me develop
a deeper appreciation of the profound natural beauty of wild places,
from the raw and awesome grandeur to the subtleties of changing light
and intricacies of colour and texture.
I hope you will be inspired by some of these favourite images
from my photographic collection,
whether taken in faraway places or in my neighbourhood.
The coast of Baja California, Mexico (1989 to 1993)
Whitewater run of Rio Claro’s 7 Teacups in Chile
Minke whale off the coast of Labrador (1994)
